Terms of Service
Learn what BabySize is for, the rules for using it, and your rights.
Last updated: 2026-10-26
Welcome to BabySize. These terms set out the rights and obligations between you and the operator of BabySize ("we", "us") regarding the website and related services.
Please read these terms carefully before use, especially the sections on non-medical use, health information and liability. When you choose to use this service, you must comply with these terms. How we handle personal information is governed separately by the Privacy Policy; accepting these terms does not replace any explicit consent required by law.
1. What the service does
BabySize uses the measurements you enter — biparietal diameter (BPD), head circumference (HC), femur length (FL) and abdominal circumference (AC) — to generate an easy-to-understand illustration, and offers image viewing, zooming, screen calibration, image export and optional history.
Basic image generation and image export require no registration. Saving, viewing or deleting history in your account requires you to sign in. Generating an image involves necessary parameter processing and calculations; see the Privacy Policy for details on how information is handled.
2. Non-medical use and what the illustration shows
BabySize is a size-visualization tool for entertainment and general reference only. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment advice, developmental assessment, judgment of normal medical ranges or gestational age estimation, and it does not create a doctor-patient relationship. Neither the website content nor the generated results are medical conclusions, and neither can replace a medical examination or the opinion of a qualified healthcare professional.
Babies differ in body size, posture and the shape of each body part, and the four values you enter alone cannot accurately reproduce a particular baby's full-body size, actual form or appearance. Images are generated from preset assets and drawing rules. They are intended only to show size and proportions. They are not real photographs, medical images or an individual anatomical reconstruction of a baby. Each input does not necessarily correspond to the exact shape of any one part in the image, and neither the image, the labels nor the scale bar constitute a medical measurement.
This tool cannot identify or infer a baby's sex, actual appearance, biological parentage or parent-child relationship, nor can it determine whether growth and development are healthy. Facial, bodily and other visual features in the image come from preset assets and drawing processes. They have no correspondence to a particular baby or their parents that would support any of the inferences above.
This tool is built on pre-made illustration templates. The templates were created with reference to population-level statistical sizes from the World Health Organization (WHO) fetal growth study, and are then combined with the data you enter and the available templates to select the appropriate figure, with local drawing and minor proportional adjustments. Population statistics cannot represent the actual situation of any individual baby, and template selection and fine-tuning do not amount to an accurate individual reconstruction. During drawing, the illustrative length corresponding to the femur is usually prioritized to be close to the entered value, but the final displayed size of the femur or other parts is not guaranteed to be fully accurate.
When your inputs are noticeably larger or smaller than the selected template, or when the proportions between measurements differ considerably, drawing error may increase further, and the image may even show distorted outlines, unnatural proportions or a form that clearly does not match real anatomy. Please interpret the results with these limitations in mind. Do not interpret image distortion as a sign that a baby is abnormal, and do not assume a baby is healthy because the image looks natural.
You should check the original report, the values and the units, and enter them as prompted on the page. The system accepting a value or successfully generating an image does not mean the relevant measurement is normal or abnormal.
You can adjust the display scale using simple methods such as aligning the scale or calibrating your screen, so that the sizes shown in the image come as close as possible to a 1:1 ratio in the physical world. However, owing to factors such as the device, display accuracy, zoom and print settings, the scale and the actual displayed size may still differ somewhat, and exact consistency is not guaranteed. A display ratio close to 1:1 does not mean the image accurately reproduces a baby's real size or form.
Small changes in input values may not produce a visible difference in the image. For example, when a value changes from 150 mm to 151 mm, the outline of the generated image may remain essentially the same. Do not conclude from this that the actual size has not changed, and do not use visible differences or similarities between images as a basis for medical judgment.
If you have questions about examination results, pregnancy health or fetal development, consult a qualified healthcare professional. Do not make medical decisions or delay seeking care based solely on this service.
3. Accounts and use of information
You must have the legal capacity required to use this service, and you must provide accurate, lawful account information. Please protect your login credentials, and do not impersonate others or use another person's account without authorization. If your account is misused or there is a security risk, take protective measures promptly and contact us.
You may submit only your own information, or information you have the right to use and for which you have obtained the necessary authorization. Where another person's health information is involved, you must ensure that the person understands the purpose of processing and has given any consent required by law. Do not submit identity information unrelated to the service or complete medical reports.
4. History and use of images
Saving history is optional. Once you understand the relevant privacy information, you decide whether to save; not saving history does not affect basic image generation or image export.
History is used to retain measurements and related record information. It is not a backup of original medical reports or generated images. When you reopen a record, the image may change because of updates to drawing rules or assets. If you want to keep a particular image, export it yourself and store it safely.
You can delete history in your account; see the Privacy Policy for how the related data is handled. Images you have exported, backed up elsewhere or shared with others will not disappear automatically when you delete records on the website. Before sharing an image, keep in mind that it may contain health information and other people's private information.
5. Fair use and intellectual property
You must not use this service to infringe others' rights, unlawfully obtain personal information, attack or interfere with the website, bypass access restrictions, or engage in fraud or other illegal activity. Do not pass off generated illustrations as real medical images, diagnostic conclusions or medical certificates.
The rights in the website's programs, design, text, assets and marks belong to us or the respective rights holders. Provided you comply with these terms and the relevant rights requirements, you may export, save and share images you generate yourself for personal, non-commercial purposes, and you must not remove necessary rights notices or present them in a misleading way. Other uses require appropriate authorization under the law.
Using this service does not transfer any rights in the information you submit. These terms do not give us the right to use your health information for advertising or marketing, or for unrelated commercial purposes.
6. Fees and changes to the service
Basic image generation, image export and history are currently provided free of charge. If we introduce paid features, we will explain the price, what the service includes and the rules for cancellation and refunds before purchase, and you decide whether to use them. You will not be charged automatically just because you have used the free features.
We will take reasonable measures to maintain the service, but maintenance, updates, network failures and other events may affect its availability. Where a change would stop a core feature or significantly affect access to existing records, we will notify you in advance as required by law and provide reasonable arrangements for handling your data.
For illegal conduct or serious breaches of these terms, we may impose necessary and proportionate access restrictions. Except in urgent cases or where the law does not require us to inform you, we will explain the reason and allow you to raise an objection. You may stop using the service and contact us to request account deletion.
7. Liability
We perform our obligations under the law in a manner appropriate to the nature of the service. Liability for losses caused by input errors, improper use, unauthorized sharing of information or other conduct will be determined under applicable law, based on the actual cause and each party's fault. In events such as force majeure, each party bears its obligations under applicable law, such as giving notice and mitigating losses.
These terms do not exclude or limit liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for losses caused by intent or gross negligence and liability for personal injury required by law, nor do they affect your consumer rights or personal information rights under the law.
8. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the law that applies by law. Mandatory consumer protections under the law of your place of residence are not excluded or reduced by these terms, including protections provided by applicable US, European Economic Area and UK law.
If a dispute arises, the parties may first try to resolve it through negotiation; if that fails, they may seek relief from a court with jurisdiction under the law. These terms do not require you to give up your rights to complain, bring legal proceedings or seek other remedies under the law.
9. Updates to these terms and contact
We may update these terms because of changes in the law or the service, and will indicate the update date. For major changes affecting key rights and obligations, we will notify you through a prominent notice on the website or another appropriate means; where new consent is required, we will obtain it as required by law.
If you have questions about these terms, your account or the service, please contact us using the contact details published on this website. If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect; provisions should be interpreted in accordance with the principles of fairness and good faith.
